Arsenal ready to spend in January? – Read Full Details

Arsenal are ready to back Mikel Arteta in the transfer market in January to bolster their chances of winning the league, according to reports.

Arsenal led the Premier League for a long time last season but were passed by Manchester City in the end.

Mikel Arteta had to settle for second place and the team once again clinched a Champions League place.

Arsenal have started strongly this season as well. The team is in third place, one point behind Manchester City at the top.

Now, Football Insider writes that Arsenal’s management are once again planning to support Arteta in the transfer market.

Owners Stan and Josh Kroenke are ready to spend up to £50 million on a player this winter, according to the site. This corresponds to SEK 658 million.

Arteta’s priority is to bring in a central midfielder this winter, especially with Thomas Partey injured and doubts about his future.

Several midfielders have been linked with Arsenal recently. Some of them are:

Douglas Luiz, Aston Villa. The 25-year-old is under contract until the summer of 2026.

Martin Zubimendi, Real Sociedad. The 24-year-old is under contract until the summer of 2027.

Julian Brandt, Borussia Dortmund. The 27-year-old is under contract until the summer of 2026.

Ruben Neves, Al-Hilal. The 26-year-old is under contract until the summer of 2026.

Mikel Merino, Real Sociedad. The 27-year-old is under contract until the summer of 2025.
